Well if I don’t do wizard of oz cake topper, i want something elegant, I am incoorporating the wizard of oz into my wedding…i’ll be wearing the ruby red slippers…no one will see them until the garter toss.
I’d like something elegant if I can’t have my oz topper 
older – i saw WICKED…it’s totally changed my outlook on the Wizard of Oz! lol

my cake is three tier
black ribbon on the bottom of each tier and a string of pearls on that ribbon
red roses staggared on each tier

didn’t read your earlier question, so i am not quite sure why you can’t have the cake topper you want. surely any baker around could make one for you. or anything out of the wizard of oz for that matter. and since you seem to be into the wizard, make sure you go see “wicked” if you have the chance. it will make the entire wizard of oz story make sense to you!!!

Have your Oz topper! If you can find a figurine that doesn’t way a ton, then use that. Or use a pair of small ruby slippers. That could have symbolic meaning of a pair that brings one home..sort of you and your fiance coming together to make a home.

I loved these when I saw them- have them make yours in the Wizard of Oz outfits or OSU jerseys lol
(Personally, if you are wearing red ruby slippers – the little jewelry box with the slippers on top that says “there is no place like home would be super cute!)

I know you said you hated the monogram idea (and I don’t blame you) but you could always buy some chipboard letters and then coat them in modge podge and then red glitter to tie the whole theme together..it would look pretty with the black ribbon and elegant. Sparkly, I like sparkly – it would be an eye catcher for sure!

There is a guy in england who does custom glass wedding toppers and bronze work … now usally his forte’ is commercial diver art, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask and see if he could do something with the wizard of Oz.
if you go to his site click the link that says glass models and you will see a cake topper in there i think on the second page.
it is what we chose because my hubby to be is a commercial diver so it is perfect for us.
even tho commercial diver art isn’t what you are looking for he may be able to make a custom one for you. ( as they are all hand done)
ours was about 155.00
Just shoot him an email and ask if he could make it for you ,it couldn’t hurt you may get exactly what you want if he can do it …….he is talented …

I did look at your question earlier and saw the toppers you picked, I found this site
I know they are similiar (maybe identical) to the ones you found but if not I thought that site would help.
If all else fails, I would think that the bakery where you are getting your cake would know of some where to look for what you want. The toppers aren’t exactly their niche, but wedding cakes are and I would guess that they know a lot more than most of us on here.
Keeping with the Wizard of Oz idea, what if you just used the Emerald City topper instead of Dorothy and the Scarecrow?

Maybe use some poppies as centerpieces? Although I don’t know if people would get the connection unless there was other wizard of oz figures around. My other thought in addition to the poppies as centerpieces, maybe get a little figurine for each table to put on the center. Or can you find someplace that will do ruby slippers as favors?
I really don’t know how much wizard of oz stuff you can find but I think its a cool idea.

Instead of having red ribbon on the side, & roses, what if you had a yellow brick road cascading down the side of the cake.
How about having your baker do a yellow brick road? You know looking at that collectible…you could alter it yourself (you’re creative) add red ribbon and glitter–viola Wedding topper.
