ok so my wedding colors are turquoise and expresso. we are having a family ceremony on the beach and coming home and having a reception a few days later. for the cake i want to do the cupcake tier thing

so i thought i could do cupcakes with brown liners and turquoise icing and topped with a white chocolate seashell
or

    What’s the question?

I like the brown liner idea
but it all sounds great :)

Sounds cute, the word is Espresso. The white seashell would stand out more against brown frosting.

very cute idea, I personally like the tuquoise liners and brown (chocolate) icing. I definetly would not go with actual expresso (coffee) flavored icing. I know expresso is a color, but I’m just making sure. :)

I vote for doing the cupcakes to match the cake . . . or if you simply cannot decide, do a variety of cupcakes.

Oh, I just wanna look at photos, LOL.

Do NOT do turquoise icing. I was at a wedding and she had that for her frosting and everyone had blue mouths the rest of the night!

You don’t need to match your colors exactly! But, if you can find turquoise cupcake liners, that would be nice.

I would still go with chocolate cupcakes and white frosting. I just think white frosting looks nicer. Then, why not get a chocolate seashell for a topping?

OR….just do the cupcakes and surround the base of the cupcake stand with REAL seashells.

I love the colour/beach theme. Sounds lovely. I would personally go torquoise liner with brown icing. That way the icing could flavoured either espresso or chocolate if you wanted to go darker and the shells would stand out more. Alternatively you could do both and when you place them on a tier stand you would do a few layers of each. That would look lovely and would give guests a choice of icing flavours and colours. So if it’s not to much effort I would recommend both. I did this myself for my 21st party and had alternating layers of chocolate cupcakes with vanilla (white icing) and plain cupcakes with strawberrry icing (light pink) it looked very cute.

I like the turquoise liners with the brown icing. It’s more like the seashell is on the sand. Cute idea!

Have you seen this cupcake wrappers? They’re turquoise AND chocoloate brown :)

You can also get all kinds of other neat cupcake designs – including ones with seashells!!!
